Cruiseabout opens new stores
Cruiseabout has opened two new stores – one in Port Melbourne and another on the Gold Coast.
The national cruise retailer is also set to open other stores in Australia during August and September this year as part of a five-year growth strategy for the brand.
Coinciding with the opening of the Port Melbourne store, Cruiseabout says New Zealand is the number one cruise destination for travellers from Victoria.
And at the top of the to-do list for travellers heading to New Zealand are the Bay of Islands and the Fiordland National Park.
Head of Cruiseabout’s new store at Port Melbourne, Dave McEwan, said, “Cruises to the South Pacific are also very popular down this way, so too are sampler cruises on the international cruise lines such as Oceania Cruises, Royal Caribbean International, Princess Cruises and Holland America Line – all of which are now calling into Port Melbourne as part of their round-the-world voyages.
“We’re finding that travellers are having to book six to 12 months prior to a cruise’s departure date because the cabins are selling out so quickly.
“Some of the more popular cruises to New Zealand are selling out almost six months before departure,†McEwan said.
