Crystal Cruises sails into the event-planning business

Wednesday, 24 Sep, 2013 0

Crystal Cruises is going into the event-planning business, offering commissionable custom "celebration services" onboard ship or on land, in countries around the world, to cruisers and their guests.

Travel agents will earn 10% commission on the meetings, weddings, anniversaries and other celebrations that use the service, as well as on the cruise bookings that go with them.

"Crystal Celebrations is a great tool to build new group business and gain new clients," says Jack Anderson, Crystal’s SVP of marketing and sales.  "Savvy agents will proactively suggest milestone events and reunions that can be celebrated around the world."

The service, offered in partnership with Imagine VIP, also offers "exceptionally elegant, chic and upscale" décor, a personalized website, catering, flowers, photography and music.

A variety of Crystal Celebrations packages are shown at www.crystalcruises.com/crystalcelebrations, starting at $2,095 for a Crystal Vow Renewal Celebration and $3,795 for a Crystal Celebration Ashore, in addition to cruise fares.
