Crystal unveils summer active beach holidays
TUI UK ski brand Crystal Holidays is to take on the likes of Mark Warner, Club Med and Sunsail with a summer Active Beach Holidays programme.
Four Crystal Active beach centres are to open for next summer in Corsica, Majorca, South-west France and the Bodrum peninsula in Turkey.
All-inclusive activities will be offered in the Corsican and Turkish centres including windsurfing, sailing and kayaking, yoga classes and guided mountain bike tours. Santa Ponsa in Majorca will specialise in mountain bike tours while Messanges in France will concentrate on surfing.
Activities, including tuition and equipment hire, are included in the price while other sports will be available at additional cost, including scuba diving, canyoning, canoeing, wake boarding, beach volleyball, horse riding and waterskiing.
Prices start at £229 for seven-nights’ self-catering based on four sharing mobile home accommodation in France, including flights, car hire and an hour and a half surf lesson.
Childcare for those aged six months to 10 years is available at the centres in Corsica and Turkey.
The company’s head of active Annie Corcoran said: “Crystal Holidays offers a huge range of active holidays from ski to mountain activities, Grand Prix holidays and now active beach holidays.
“Watersports was one thing that was missing which our clients demanded and now we are delighted to fill this gap. Our beach centres are great value, more in line what our customers want and provide something new in the market.”
