De Vere shares soar on broker recommendation
Travel and tourism shares experienced mainly small movements yesterday as London’s main equity indices registered modest gains. The FTSE 100 index added 5.9 points to close at 4728.7, while the FTSE 250 put on 26 points to end the day at 6661.5. The biggest move was at De Vere, which gained 18.75p to close at 470p – its highest point for the last 12 months – after the broker UBS recommended it as a “buy”.
