Delta extends Tel Aviv flight suspension to year-end
Delta Air Lines is extending its halt on Tel Aviv flights from New York.
The airline will postpone all Israel flights until the end of the year as tensions continue to rise in the Middle East.
It extended the flight pause from October 31 to the end of 2024, as other airlines also pull fights in the region.
“Delta flights between New York-JFK and Tel Aviv will be paused through December 31, due to ongoing conflict in the region,” the airline said.
The airline says affected customers can rebook flights for later dates through March 1, 2025.
Tensions have ramped up this week after pagers were remotely detonated, killing several people in Lebanon and injuring thousands.
Qatar Airways has since banned the carriage of pagers and walkie talkies on flights to and from Lebanon.
Airlines including Air France and Lufthansa again suspended flights to Israel.
