Delta warns of long haul flight disruptions at Sea-Tac
Delta Air Lines has warned passengers of possible schedule changes on long haul; flights out of Seattle-Tacoma International Airport.
It follows a fuel pipeline leak in nearby Everitt, WA which has put a strain on fuel supply at the airport.
This is being exacerbated during the busy Thanksgiving holiday period.
The airline said some longer flights may even be amended to include a fuel stop this week due to the jet fuel supply squeeze.
Passengers booked on long-haul flights for travel through November 28 may be affected.
It is offering a change waiver and the option to take fight credit for future travel.
Washington Governor Bob Ferguson issued an emergency declaration to prioritize fuel deliveries to the airport.
Engineers are still working on locating and fixing the leak which mat take several more days.
