DVD give-away with new P&O Cruises brochure
A DVD introducing cruise holidays is being incorporated in P&O Cruises’ first edition 2007 brochure.
The half-hour DVD is designed as a sales aid for agents to help attract customers who have not considered cruising as a holiday option, according to the line’s commercial director Nigel Esdale.
The ‘Introduction to P&O Cruises’ DVD explores the company’s five ships as well as destinations visited. The re-designed brochure goes on sale on June 5.
Esdale said: “P&O Cruises is committed to working with its travel agent partners to attract and convert newcomers to cruising, and this introductory DVD is one way we are doing this.
“We also offer a number of ‘taster cruises’ – two-night party cruises, four-night city breaks and seven-night short holidays. These options provide an excellent entry point for agents to tempt customers to ‘test the water’, and are featured in a dedicated section of the brochure.
“It is important people understand the different experiences we offer across the fleet. This DVD is a visually inspiring tool to help agents and customers identify the right cruise holiday for their needs, whether they are groups of friends, young couples, families or seasoned cruisers.”
The brochure includes 2008 spring Caribbean itineraries on board Arcadia and Oceana, as well as itineraries for all ships in the fleet from April to December next year. Discounts of up to 45% apply for bookings made before September 1.
New ports include Grand Turk in the Turks and Caicos Islands, Savannah in the US and Valencia in Spain, as well as lesser-known ports in the Baltic region, such as Vaasa in Finland and Klaipeda in Lithuania.
Meanwhile, a preview brochure featuring the line’s 2007-08 world cruises has been issued three months earlier than usual. It features three voyages covering South America and Antartica on Artemis, a world cruise by Aurora and a 101-night Grand Voyage by Oriana including nine ports of call in Australia.
The World Voyages programme includes up to £750 on-board credit and free chauffeur transfers or regional flights to encourage early bookings.
