E-tourism summit set for tourism marketers
The first ever gathering of leaders from major internet companies — Facebook, Groupon, Twitter, TripAdvisor, LinkedIn, Pandora and Yelp! among others — will be meeting at the 12th annual E-Tourism Summit (ETS) Sept. 29-30 in San Francisco.
The meeting at the Hotel Nikko is “unique in the intersecting worlds of e-commerce and the travel and tourism industry,” according to sponsoring NAJ Group.
Said Jake Steinman, president of NAJ:
“Through 18 workshops and almost 40 presenters, tourism marketers can learn about the latest changes, updates and trends in social media, mobile marketing, measurability, search marketing, e-mail marketing, and video and website redesign directly from experts with tourism-specific experience.”
He added that last year, one of the attendees referred to ETS as “fashion week for digital marketers, which I consider the ultimate compliment.”
Key sessions include:
• Advanced Facebook Workshop;
•Advanced LinkedIn Workshop;
• How to Maximize Engagement (and measure ROI) on the Most Popular Social Media Platforms;
• Building a 21st Century Coop Marketing Program;
• Are You Kissing Up to the Wrong Bloggers;
•Steal These Ideas (we won’t press charges); and
• Search Marketing Focus—Keyword Workshop; Using Proactive Techniques to Protect Your Stakeholder's (hotels/restaurants/attractions) Reputation Online
