EasyJet traffic rises, but its aircraft are not so full
EasyJet sold almost 7% more tickets last month than in October 2015, but it flew with more empty seats, suggesting its capacity rose faster than demand.
It carried more than 6.8 million passengers in the month, up from 6.4 million in the same month of last year, but its load factor slipped more than three percentage points from 93.3% to 90.2%.
For the rolling 12 months ending in October, its traffic was up 6.3% but the airline’s load factor was down 0.4 percentage points.
