Egyptair launching Cairo flights to Manchester
Egyptair will launch new Cairo flights to Manchester.
From 15 July, the Cairo-Manchester route operates five times a week.
The route makes Manchester the only UK city outside London to have a direct link to Egypt’s capital.
It has not been served from Manchester since 2015.
Egyptair will operate Cairo flights on B737-800NG aircraft, with capacity for 154 passengers.
Chris Woodroofe, MD of Manchester Airport, said: “Having a direct route to Cairo is fantastic news for travellers in our region.”
“This link also offers businesses in our region access to a fast-growing market and adds another in-demand route to our growing network.”
Customers get access to comprehensive onward connectivity at Cairo via Egyptair’s route network of 70 destinations worldwide.
“Manchester is one of the largest airports in the UK and is increasingly one of the most in-demand destinations for our customers,” said Egyptair CEO Mohamed Moussa.
