Emirates adds KL-Melbourne link
DUBAI – Emirates has launched a non-stop service from Kuala Lumpur to Melbourne, together with an additional daily connection between Dubai and Kuala Lumpur – bringing the total number of Dubai- Kuala Lumpur services to 21 non-stop flights a week.
In another development, Emirates has increased its flights to Rome, from 12 times a week to two flights daily, besides adding two flights a day to the Italian cities of Venice and Milan.
Richard Jewsbury, senior vice-president (commercial operations-Far East and Australasia) of Emirates, said the new services to Kuala Lumpur were in response to the demand from Malaysia for flights to Melbourne as well as the “deep commitment†of the airline in serving cities in Malaysia and Australia.
Emirates will launch daily flights to Tokyo on March 28 as well as flights to three cities in Europe: to Amsterdam on May 1; to Prague on July 1; and to Madrid on August 1.
