Emirates flies A380 from new concourse
Dubai Airports has launched the phased opening of Concourse A, the world’s first A380 facility at Dubai International’s Terminal 3.
Four of 20 A380-dedicated contact gates began operating this week.
Emirates’ EK 003 from Dubai to London Heathrow became Concourse A’s first flight.
Concourse A is part of the Terminal 3 complex exclusively built for the airline.
Dubai International’s annual passenger capacity will increase from 60 million to 75 million when Concourse A is fully operational.
