Six companies were presented with World Travel Market Environmental Recognition Awards in recognition of outstanding environmental activities
Six companies were presented with World Travel Market Environmental Recognition Awards in recognition of outstanding environmental activities on Environmental Awareness Day. Nominated by World Travel Market’s Global Media Network members, the awards were presented by journalist and broadcaster John Stapleton.
The award winners were:
Abercrombie & Kent Global Foundation nominated by Travel Weekly US
Drive Out Viaggi nominated by L’Agenzia di Viaggi
The Leela Group of Hotels, nominated by Trav Talk
Astravel, nominated by Travel Trade Russia
Fundacion De Los Ferrocarrites Espanoles – FFE – nominated by Editur
Ford Motor Company Conservation & Environment Grants, nominated by Middle East Travel
Commenting on the award winners Fiona Jeffery, Group Exhibition Director said: “With environmental issues playing an increasingly important role in the development of travel and tourism worldwide it is particularly pleasing to see so many successful and varied projects gaining the recognition they so rightly deserve”.
