Eos to compete with Silverjet to Dubai
A second all-business class carrier is to start flying to Dubai from the UK.
Eos Airlines is to go head to head with rival Silverjet by serving the Emirate from the summer.
Eos will fly to Dubai using 48-seat Boeing 757s from July 6. The airline is also to start serving Newark on May 5 in addition to New York JFK.
The airline will start issuing tickets for travel between London and Newark in mid-February and for travel between London and Dubai in March. Details of fares have not been announced.
The carrier’s president and CEO Jack Williams said: “Our community includes many guests and investors from the Gulf region who feel that Dubai and Eos are a perfect fit.
“UAE consumers appreciate products and services of the highest quality and we’ve created a travel experience that authentically reflects their lifestyle, an extension of the way they want to live while flying.
“In addition, our corporate and leisure travellers based in New Jersey have told us they are eagerly anticipating our route between London Stansted and Newark.”
Dubai is already served from the UK by Emirates, including a range of regional departures, British Airways and Virgin Atlantic.
