Leading industrialist and former EasyJet chairman Sir Colin Chandler has become a non-executive director of transfer company Holiday Taxis.
Sir Colin, chairman of software provider Clarity Commerce Solutions, was at the budget carrier for seven years.
He was previously head of the Defence Export Services Organisation in the Ministry of Defence and variously managing director, chief executive and chairman of Vickers and chairman and chief executive of Racal Electronics.
“I am extremely pleased at being invited to join HolidayTaxis as it provides an outstanding product with an excellent management team that has seen the business virtually double year on year since the company’s inauguration in 2003,” said Sir Colin.
“It is one of the fastest growing travel businesses in the UK providing outstanding reliability and customer service.
“I believe the company has a strong foundation and I look forward to being part of the successful future growth”.
