Expedia back again
Expedia Inc. and U. S. Airways Group announced that customers can now purchase US Airways tickets through all its worldwide points of sale, including Expedia.com, Expedia Corporate Travel and Expedia.ca. US Airways pulled its tickets off Expedia in early December, saying the site was charging $8.99, or more than any other of its on-line distributors. “We want as many on-line shoppers as possible to have access to our broad network of service in the eastern US and the Caribbean, and our partnership with Expedia helps us achieve that goal,” said B. Ben Baldanza, US Airways senior vice president of marketing and planning. “US Airways is an important partner and their service is highly valued by our customers,” said Barney Harford, vice president, air, car and private label at Expedia Inc. ”We are pleased to continue building our relationship with them.” Details of the partnership were said to be confidential and were not released.
