Extreme New Year’s events include nudity and parachute jumps
“Nude Year’s Eve in Miami” emerged as the top of ten extreme New Year’s Eve events this year in a recent survey.
The wardrobe-free, three-day event includes live entertainment. Participants who pay $129 get a front row seat for the fireworks.
"New Year’s Eve is a great excuse for travelers to let their hair down and push their limits," said TripAdvisor’s Christine Petersen.
Florida was home to two of the top five spots, with the Festive Freefall in Zephyrhills coming in at No. 4. That event features a bunch of people jumping out of a plane at the stroke of midnight.
With their clothes on, of course.
Other events making the site’s Top Ten list includes number two, Loony Dook in Edinburgh, Scotland, followed by a Torchlight Parade in Gridwood, Alaska. Other finalists:
5. City Kayak: San Francisco, California
6. New Year’s Dive: The Hague, Netherlands
7. Underwater dive: Torrevieja, Spain
8. Emerald Nuts Midnight Run: Central Park, New York
9. Pucker Up: Venice, Italy
10. Cursa dels Nassos: Barcelona, Spain
