Feeling down? Perhaps a scarf can cheer you up
Have you ever ended up in an airport with a layover between connecting flights and wondered what to do to kill time? Well, FlyStay might just be the answer all your problems. This soon to be launched app will recommend activities for users during their layovers. Suggestions will depend on the airport and its facilities, how long the layover is and what deals and offers are currently running in the area.
If the passport is a symbol of national identity, then the hidden design of the Canadian Passport has definitely got the wow factor. Following on from last year’s passport surprise from the Norwegians, this week Buzzfeed posted a great article showing off the incredible designs that can be seen under UV black light. The so-called secret ‘party pages’ include glow in the dark maple leaves, fireworks at the Ottawa parliament and iconic historic scenes.
If you’re dreaming of sunnier climes and already a bit fed up of the freezing but hot and stressful winter commute, tech giant, Microsoft, is reportedly developing a mood-enhancing "smart" scarf which will respond to the owner’s emotional state. The accessory will play music and use a combination of lights and temperature control to improve or maintain the wearer’s mood.
If that’s not enough to get excited about, Microsoft also announced that it is the latest contender in the wearable tech and augmented reality race with a new product launch that has been dubbed the "future of computing". The Microsoft HoloLens, promises to bring the digital realm into reality and features transparent lenses, spatial sound and advanced sensors which aims to break the current barrier between user and technology. Users will be able to view holograms in high definition and with advanced sensors the product can see what users are looking at and understand what they are communicating with their hands and voice. While the design may not be the chicest, the promotional video is enough to get us very excited about this launch.
