Fins looking up for Neilson
Finland has been added by snowsports operator Neilson for next winter.
Lapland features in a new look 2007-08 brochure based on the resorts of Levi and Ylläs, both described as ideal for skiers and snowboarders of all abilities.
Seven-nights at the Saaga Resort in Ylläs starts at £419 per person, departing on December 2 including half board accommodation based on four to six people sharing. Ski hire, tuition and lift passes are additional.
Ylläs sits at the southern base of the region’s highest “fell”, home to Finland’s longest ski run. Northern Lights safaris, husky dog sledding, reindeer and husky safaris and ice fishing are among the non-ski activities available in the resort.
Levi is situated 170km north of the Arctic Circle and is Finland’s most famous resort, hosting World Cup ski events.
