Flight compensation firm launches portal for TMCs
Travel technology firm refund.me.Group, which was set up in 2012 to help consumers handle flight delay compensation claims, has launched a new business-to-business portal for corporate customers.
The Germany-based firm claims refund.me Business Solutions will make it easier for travel management companies to process claims made by their customers under EU 261 legislation for lengthy flight delays
"By outsourcing the claims process to refund.me, companies avoid the costs of internal legal and administrative teams necessary to analyse and process complex flight data and compensation claims," said Eve Büchner, founder and CEO of refund.me.
"Our new B2B portal makes it easy for companies to capture compensation that might not have been cost-effective to recover previously."
The portal, which can be customized to individual corporate travel programmes and policies, is equipped with advanced security, performance and management features ensuring data, claim status, payments, and reports are secure, robust and reliable, said refund.me.
Christian Fischer, CEO of DERPART Reisebüro Hess, a Dusseldorf-based TMC and travel agency franchise, said: "We proactively offer refund.me’s additional flight compensation service to our customers as it enables them to not only save money, but also gives them immediate access to refund.me’s global network of lawyers to fight on their behalf.
"The process is simple and straightforward, and the new portal enhances our ability to offer our clients the best possible business package."
refund.me operates on a no win, no fee basis.
