Flybe to launch new route from Scotland
Flybe will launch flights from Glasgow to Shannon in the west of Ireland on May 1.
The three times a week service is on sale now with fares starting at £36.99 one way including taxes and charges.
Flybe said the new service would be popular with leisure travellers taking part in Ireland’s ‘Year of Welcome’, The Gathering.
The route will also serve the business community, as Shannon is home to a large cluster of North American and to the subsidiary offices of many global businesses..
Simon Lilley, Flybe director of marketing said: "Flybe is committed to developing further its route network out of Glasgow. We have every confidence that this additional new service will prove successful in offering an attractive and affordable way for travellers to access this growing business and leisure destination that is widely regarded as the West of Ireland’s premier gateway."
Flybe has nine routes from Glasgow, from where it offers up to 312 flights a week.
