Former heads of NASA, the CIA, and Switzerland sail on Crystal Cruises this fall
Q: What do NASA, the CIA, and Switzerland have in common?
A: Their retired executives all will be guest speakers on Crystal Cruises this year.
The lineup of interesting and influential leaders announced last week by the cruise company for this fall includes:
General Michael Hayden, retired director of both the CIA and NSA, and four-star U.S. Air Force General, on the September 19th Venice to Monte Carlo President’s Cruise with Crystal president Gregg Michel.
Kaspar Villiger, former president of Switzerland and chairman of UBS Bank, September 2, London to Barcelona.
Sy Liebergot, the lead controller at NASA’s Mission Control during the Apollo program, November 23, Miami to Rio de Janeiro.
Norm Mineta, ex-U.S. Secretary of Transportation, September 11, Barcelona to Venice.
Nando Parrado, the Uruguayan rugby player who was aboard the ill-fated flight over the Andes that later became the subject of the film Alive, July 6, Istanbul to Rome.
Also sailing on Crystal’s "Ocean Views"-themed cruises will be a celebrity florist, noted photographers, show business veterans, historians, and professors.
The goal is to provide not just new adventures, but also new information and perspectives on the world, the cruise line said.
