Gary Neville to open hotel conference
Former Manchester United captain and England international, now soon to be hotelier Gary Neville, will open The Annual Hotel Conference this autumn.
Neville, who has just been appointed coach of the England side and is also a Sky Sports TV pundit, has recently won planning permission to build a 139-room hotel near Old Trafford with plans to open for the 2014/15 season.
"I have put a lot of work into researching and understanding the hotel business," said the former footballer. "I am excited about engaging with the sector and look forward to speaking to delegates at The AHC, which is now firmly established as a must-attend event for the UK’s hoteliers."
Chairman of The AHC, Jonathan Langston said. "We are delighted that Gary has accepted our invitation to open the conference, which this year will be the biggest in its nine-year history."
The AHC has also announced the opening plenary session will be moderated by chief executive of the British Hospitality Association Ufi Ibrahim, who will quiz representatives from Hilton Worldwide, Marriott International and Accor about how they’re addressing market challenges and their views on what the future holds.
