Getabed sales up 40%
Independent accommodation specialist Getabed.co.uk reports that 2010 is proving to be its best ever year, with sales up more than 40% year-on-year.
In the year ending September 30 2010, Getabed.co.uk said it is on target to beat turnover figures from the past 18 months.
“Despite the chaos caused by the ash cloud, the election and World Cup, our trade-only firm is going from strength to strength,” said Matt Stuart, managing director of the Hove-based company.
“We’re delighted with how 2010 is performing so far. We’ve had record sales with July being our strongest month for sales so far, and July 14 was our best ever sales day – beating the prior year by more than 100%.”
Stuart, who bought the business 12 years ago, said top selling destinations this year have been New York, Las Vegas, Orlando, Dubai, and Barcelona.
Fastest-growing destination in 2010 are Sydney up 168% year on year, Dubai up 84%, Paris up 51%, Barcelona up 39% and Orlando up 36%.
