Global meeting management company names top US training centers

EMCVenues named its “Top Ten Training Centers” in the US, announced Jody Wallace, president and ECO.

“We are so pleased to present the Top Ten Training Centers in the United States,” said Ms. Wallace. She added:

“We work with hundreds of first rate hotels, resorts and conference centers coast to coast and globally throughout the year.  With so many excellent facilities, selecting the Top Ten is never an easy task.  Yet we’re often asked this question and we are very proud to present this carefully compiled list for 2008.”

Only facilities whose primary source of business is meetings and training were selected in the list.

Criteria included the requirement of four-star quality; close access to major airports; outside recreation and amenities; nearby attractions for conferees during off-property periods; and others.

The top ten were Chaminade at Santa Cruz, Santa Cruz, California; Pacific Palms Conference Resort, Industry Hills, California; Eaglewood Resort & Spa, Chicago, Illinois; University Place Conference Center, Indianapolis, Indiana; Hamilton Park Hotel & Conference Center, Florham Park, New Jersey; Wyndham Peachtree Conference Center, Peachtree City, Georgia; Hilton DFW Lakes Executive Conference Center, Grapevine, Texas; Lakeway Resort & Spa, Austin, Texas; The Woodlands Resort and Conference Center, The Woodlands, Texas, and Ace Conference Center, Lafayette Hill, Pennsylvania,
