GMTC Launches its 2009 ANZAC Tours Brochure
The commemoration of ANZAC Day at ANZAC Cove in Gallipoli, Turkey has become Australia’s largest annual secular pilgrimage event.
In 2008 about 20,000 Australians participated in the official events and in 2009 it is anticipated the crowds of Aussies and Kiwis will be even larger.
Greece and Mediterranean Travel Centre continues its well established tradition of offering a wide choice of tour options in Turkey as well as Turkey and Greece combination tours all of which share the common element of enabling participants to participate in the full ANZAC Day experience from the Dawn Service to the commemoration services and events of ANZAC Day.
In 2009 there are over 20 options. One of the most popular options is the 10 Day Classical Turkey Tour which covers most of the popular destinations within Western Turkey including historic Ephesus, the Fairy Chimneys of Cappadocia, the mystical landscape of Pammukale, with its water filled limestone terraces, Turkey’s Aegean Coast and Troy which is close to ANZAC Cove.
GMTC’s ANZAC range in duration from two days one night for the time strapped to an 18 Day Greece and Turkey combination for the more leisurely traveller.
