Gold Medal and Travel 2 step up efforts to see agents
Gold Medal and Travel 2 have appointed two new key account managers to boost their joint sales team.
Rachael Belshaw (left) will cover the north east and Yorkshire region while Carmen Moreira will cover central England.
At the same time, the dnata-owned trade specialists has streamlined the geographical areas covered by their on-the-road staff so they can spend more time with agents.
B2B Europe sales director Nick Hughes said: "Making sure that our sales structure is able to cope with our continued growth is something we have put a lot of effort in to.
Good businesses stay as close as possible to suppliers and customers, so it is imperative that we ensure our account managers are working efficiently.
"Streamlining the area each has to cover means they will be able to spend less time in the car and more time meeting the people who matter.
We will also be stepping up efforts to get around to agents who work with us less – Gold Medal and Travel 2 offer an incredible breadth of product now and are evolving constantly so it is important we get that message out."
Belshaw joined the business earlier this week from daily deals website Itison. She previously worked at Attraction World as business development manager.

The two new appointments increases the size of the team managed by head of sales Colin Currie to 10.
In addition, Nichola Marston joins as key account manger reporting directly to Clare Weatherall, who was recently promoted to head of national accounts.
