Gossipers hit the road
Travel Gossip, which claims to be the largest online travel community, will be hosting a series of travel trade roadshows throughout the UK next year.
The events are intended to connect agents with suppliers and they will visit numerous cities including London, Birmingham, Manchester and Cardiff.
The event will kick off in Glasgow on February 29.
Several suppliers have confirmed they will be attending, including Hard Rock Hotels, DFDS Seaway, Philippine Airlines and Voyages SNCF.
The events will also feature a social element, allowing fellow ‘Gossipers’ to catch-up ‘in real life’ over a few drinks, said the organisers.
Originally launched in August 2011 by Sara Mason-Parker, the Travel Gossip community was created by travel experts, for travel experts, to ask questions in confidence, discover new products and services and share knowledge and experience.
Since then it has grown to 5,400 trade-only members and over 10,000 followers on Twitter.
Mason-Parker said: "I’m so proud of how far Travel Gossip has come and am thrilled to be taking the social network to this next stage. As you well know, the concept of the group was to enable travel employees nationwide to connect 24/7 – how exciting to be delivering this in person now as well. I’m looking forward to meeting many of you near your home turf!"
