The Egyptian Family Adventure combines elements from GMTC’s many Egypt programs. Even the mode of transport changes including car, train and Nile Cruise. There is no chance for kids to get bored.
The 11 day tour starts in Cairo with visits to the Pyramids of Giza and the Sphinx including a camel ride and a visit to the Egyptian museum. An optional extra is the sound and light show at the pyramids.
The tour includes a sleeper train trip from Cairo to Luxor, a horse and carriage ride through the streets of Luxor and visits to the fabulous tombs and Temples of Luxor. From Luxor, experience a Nile cruise from Luxor to Aswan.
The tour also include a felucca ride around Kitcheners Island in Aswan famous for its exotic bird and plant life and a visit to a Nubian village where the people retain their ancient costumes, customs and architecture. From Aswan travel on the sleeper train for the return trip to Cairo.
The final afternoon in Cairo is at leisure giving the family the opportunity to explore the markets and their favourite sights of Cairo.
The Family Adventure operates all year. GMTC has School Holiday specials which include extra fun and activities. The next 2008 school holiday special tours commence on 04 Jul and 26 Sep. Adult twin share per person prices are from $1,212 (3 star) and $1.862 (5 star).

Children under 12, accompanying adults on the Egyptian Family Adventure receive a 40% discount off the adult tour price for the first child and 20% for a second child on the 5 star package and a 30% discount for the first child and a 15% discount for a second child on the 3 star package.
