Royalty Resorts Corporation, an affiliate of UK-based Haven Holidays, is to upgrade, manage and operate a holiday park adjoining Walt Disney World Resort in Florida.
Tropical Palms Resort in Kissimmee is described as a ‘caravan-style resort’.
It comprises 200 holiday caravans and 375 touring caravan sites on 60 acres. Cottages are available for rental or purchase and can accommodate four to six guests.
The first phase of a $1 million upgrade to the site has been completed including repaved roadways, new landscaping, a redesigned lobby/check-in area and renovation of a number of caravans. Thirty new caravans have been added to the park.
Haven manages 36 UK holiday parks while US sister company, Royalty Resorts Corporation, manages two resorts – Sun N Fun Resort in Sarasota, Florida and Sherkston Shores Resort near Niagara Falls in Ontario.
Royalty Resorts Corporation regional director Tim Deputy said:“Tropical Palms is the perfect destination for overseas travellers who are looking for an affordable caravan-style holiday close to all of Central Florida’s attractions.
“With our roots in the UK we feel especially able to welcome and accommodate British visitors.”
