Hawaiian Airlines adding Hawaii flights from Long Beach
Hawaiian Airlines is adding extra airlift to Hawaii from SoCal.
The airline will launch daily service between Long Beach and Honolulu starting in the summer.
The service kicks off on Thursday, May 31 with its new Airbus A321neo aircraft which it inaugurated this week on its Oakland service.
The A321neo accommodates 189 passengers, including 16 First Class and 44 Extra Comfort premium economy seats.
"We are thrilled that Hawaiian Airlines has selected Long Beach Airport as a new way to get to Honolulu and connect to nearby islands. There’s now no easier way to get to Hawaii than from in Long Beach," said Long Beach mayor Robert Garcia.
The airline announced a record 11.5 million passengers in 2017, up 4.1% from 11.1 million last year. It is the 13th straight year of passenger growth, and the load factor also increased slightly to 85.8%.
