Hertz recruits another senior exec from United
United Continental Holdings’ chief marketing officer is to join Hertz as senior executive vice president and chief revenue officer.
Jeff Foland will start his new position at Hertz later this month, prompting a management reshuffle at United.
Foland will take charge of global marketing strategy, sales, and revenue functions, Hertz said.
He will team up again with new Hertz CEO John Tague, a former United president, who recruited Foland at the airline in 2005.
“It’s not often an executive has the chance to develop the long-term, global growth potential of iconic brands like Hertz, Dollar and Thrifty, and I look forward to partnering with John Tague and the rest of the Hertz team on this exciting journey,” Foland said in a statement.
With the departure of Foland, United’s vice chairman and chief revenue officer Jim Compton will resume executive responsibility for marketing, loyalty and digital and United CFO John Rainey will be in charge of strategy.
“We appreciate Jeff’s contributions and leadership at United and wish him well,” the airline said in a statement.
