Resort hotel group Aquis has taken its portfolio up to ten properties with the addition of two hotels in Crete.
The Vasia Hotel & Spa will be re-named as the Aquis Vasia Beach & Spa, in Sissi; and the Blue Sea Resort & Spa in Stalida will become the Aquis Blue Sea Resort & Spa.
Aquis, founded by youtravel.com’s John Kent, is actively seeking other properties in the Eastern Mediterranean and has more additions to its range planned by 2010.
The Aquis Blue Sea Resort & Spa has 225 renovated rooms, bungalows and suites – many with private swimming pools – and a spa.
The Aquis Vasia Beach and Spa has 300 suites and rooms, five swimming pools and a spa.
Marketing manager Rania Deimezi said: “We are delighted to expand our portfolio into Crete. We believe these two new properties will fit well with our existing hotels in Corfu and Kos.”
