Hotelplan UK signs two major climate action partnerships
Hotelplan UK has inked two new climate action partnerships across the group.
The collaborations with Klimate and Rewilding Britain comprise an investment of more than £1 million this financial year.
“We’re delighted to align ourselves with these innovative organisations,” said CEO Joe Ponte.
“Protecting the planet that we and our customers so love exploring is critical.”
Klimate focuses on climate action by taking carbon out of the atmosphere.
It sources and funds high quality removal solutions that are verifiable.
This includes tree planting schemes and direct air capture projects.
Rewilding Britain is an independent charity that champions the benefits of rewilding for people and places.
They work with communities to help them rewild land and sea, providing resources and support.
They campaign to garner government support in protecting and restoring natural habitats.
Hotelplan brand Explore Worldwide has worked with Rewilding Britain for the last 12 months, donating more than £35,000.
The rest of the group will join Explore in this partnership.
Every trip booked with Hotelplan businesses Explore Worldwide, Inntravel, Inghams, Esprit Ski and Santa’s Lapland will include donations both to Klimate and Rewilding Britain.
These donations are backdated for all travel since 1 November 2022.
Hotelplan UK published a climate paper and biodiversity paper, outlining its key goals for 2023 and beyond.
