HotelREZ bags Hastings Hotels

Northern Ireland group Hastings Hotels has switched marketing and GDS representation to HotelREZ.

The group of six properties, including the Europa in Belfast and the five-star Culloden Estate & Spa, has moved its worldwide marketing and GDS representation from several GDS partners to HotelREZ because it wanted a “fresh dynamic and holistic approach” to improving its business performance.

HotelREZ handles representation for more than 320 independent and group hotels in Europe.

Managing director Mark Lewis described Hastings as a “very exciting gain”, adding: “We are looking forward to delivering the levels of personal service that Hastings Hotels require, to exploit fully not only the domestic but also the international markets.”

Hastings managing director Howard Hastings said: “We felt that the experience of the HotelREZ team would best help us to seamlessly move back to one provider and drive businbess forward, especially in the American and European markets, as well and continuing to penetrate the exiting local and UK markets.”

The group has restructured its internal management and hotel reservations departments as a result of the change over.
