HSMAI appoints new AP president
Hospitality Sales and Marketing Association International has announced Jackie Douglas as new the president, Asia Pacific region.
She takes over from Bernadette Dennis who has served in the role since 2009.
Born in Australia, Douglas has worked in a number of senior positions in travel technology firms including Sabre.
In Europe, she oversaw product development, automation and operational processes for the Travelocity brands in the UK, Germany, France and Scandinavia.
She serves on advisory boards for travel start-up companies and works as a consultant in the hospitality, travel and retail sectors.
"We are excited to have Jackie as part of a global leadership team that will continue to provide benefits for HSMAI members in that region of the world," said Bob Gilbert, president and CEO of HSMAI Global.
"I am looking forward to spreading the expertise and knowledge of HSMAI into a region ripe for educational opportunities, and into one that offers so much diversity," said Douglas.
. "My primary focus areas will be on education and research – for the different markets and on regional trends."
