Hyatt introduces new lifestyle brand Caption
Hyatt Hotels has unveiled another new lifestyle brand.
Caption by Hyatt plugs a gap in the select service market for food & beverage focused social stays, the company says.
Hyatt worked with Union Square Hospitality Group to devise the design philosophy which is rooted in dynamic social spaces, according to Hyatt.
Food and beverage services will have a social element.
"At Hyatt, we believe in the power of personal connection. By listening to our guests, we know that whether they are traveling alone or with a friend, they are looking to connect with others in an environment that is authentic," said Heather Geisler, vice president of global brands, Hyatt.
These public areas will be ‘richly designed and unexpectedly put together.’
Each Caption by Hyatt hotel will have up to 250 guestrooms and room sizes start at a cozy 20sqm.
Caption becomes Hyatt’s 20th brand.
No locations have been disclosed yet but the brand will focus on urban markets in the US and internationally.
"We intend for the Caption by Hyatt brand to be a global growth driver domestically and internationally in dense urban markets, emerging neighborhoods and high foot traffic areas," said Jim Chu, global head of development at Hyatt.
