IHG brings EVEN wellness hotel brand to New Zealand
Global hospitality group InterContinental Hotels Group is set to introduce another new brand to the Australasian market.
Together with Pro-invest Group, IHG has announced the first EVEN Hotels property in New Zealand.
EVEN Hotel Auckland is scheduled to open in 2020 and is the first outside North America.
It also marks the first of up to 15 EVEN Hotels slated for major cities in Australia and New Zealand, in partnership with Pro-invest Group.
The EVEN brand has a distinct focus on holistic wellness with top notch fitness facilities, in-room exercise zones and fresh organic foods on the menu.

Wellness travel is a global phenomenon and a $563 billion industry today[1] and, with EVEN Hotels, we have a created a brand that will deliver a local wellness experience to travellers for whom health and wellbeing is so important," said Jan Smits, CEO, Asia Middle East & Africa at IHG.

Featuring 200 rooms, EVEN Hotel Auckland will be centrally located and encorporate a natural modern design.
It will join 32 hotels open in Australia and New Zealand under four IHG brands – InterContinental Hotels & Resorts, Crowne Plaza Hotels & Resorts, Holiday Inn and Holiday Inn Express – and a further 14 in the pipeline, which includes the upcoming debut of the Hotel Indigo brand in the region.
