ILO 180 compliance for Cruise Companies
ILO 180 compliance is a next big thing in terms of audit and cruise compliance which will be needed to be automated and have compulsorily on all the cruises globally.
ILO 180 compliance speaks about the hour of rest and work entry must be compulsorily be tracked and kept for the IMO or other government organization’s audit purpose. ILO 180 compliance is necessary for the cruises as hours of rest is a significant factor and must be kept in mind and checked for hard and critical working scenerio’s on cruises.
Standard Hours of Duty which needs to be posted on the wall of work place and weekly / monthly filled ILO 180 forms are needed by the law to be maintained for the cruises from present till last 3 years.
ILO 180 Tracking System will be a next big automated software which will be needed by the cruise company for logging the daily hours of rest/work, maintain standard hour of duties and creating daily schedule for each crew member based on their ranks and department.
Coming few years will be interesting to watch and see how cruise company follow the ILO/IMO rules and regulations, maintaining the rest hours / work hours of all the crew.
