Indian teen threatens to blow up Miami Airport over FBI spat
An Indian teen, feeling the FBI was not taking his complaints seriously over a US based fraudster, decided to up the ante.
The unnamed 18-year-old made numerous phone threats to the agency threatening to bomb Miami Airport.
He also called the airport itself at least five times.
The hot-headed teen threatened to bring AK-47s, grenades and a suicide belt to MIA.
After tracking him down to India, authorities discovered his beef was with the FBI.
He was upset the agency weren’t taking his claims seriously that a US fraudster conned him out of about $1,000 in bitcoin.
According to India media, the boy said: I wanted to file a complaint with the FBI on being defrauded but got no response, after which I made calls, threatening to attack Miami Airport. After not getting proper response from FBI… I told them that I would bring AK-47s, grenades and suicide belts."
He was described as a ‘bright student’ by investigators in India.
He is facing possible charges but hasn’t been formally arrested.
Interested in making money in an investment scheme, he rashly handed over $1,000 in bitcoin to the online conman who then promptly disappeared.
