IndiGo reaches 100 million passengers a year

India’s largest carrier IndiGo just achieved a major milestone for the country’s aviation market.

It became the first India airline to fly over 100 million passengers in a calendar year.

It marks a big increase in passenger traffic from 2022 when the airline handled 78 million passengers.

IndiGo recently surpassed an average schedule of over 2,000 flights per day.

Overall, the network covers 86 domestic and 32 international destinations, and it continues to expand overseas.

Just this year it it has added more than 20 international routes across in Central and Southeast Asia, and Africa.

As the largest India airline,, it boasts a 62% domestic market share.
