It’s a go- snow zone……………
A report in The Sydney Morning Herald says that while this time last year there were few smiles from those involved in the ski industry, in 2007, all resorts are reporting record or near-record figures for the season.
Mount Hotham has had its most successful season, with 332,792 visitor days recorded until September 9.
At Thredbo, the 2007 season is being described as one of the top five on record, with the July school holidays its best holiday period.
The folk at Mount Buller report visitors were up 75 per cent on last year.
The same message is coming from Falls Creek, Mount Baw Baw and Perisher Blue, which had near-record visitors throughout August and into September.
With a week to go of the official ski season, there is still plenty of snow around and substantial discounts available.
