JAL to launch day-time flights to London from Haneda
Japan Airlines will launch new day-time non-stop flights to London from Tokyo’s Haneda airport from March, when it will suspend flights from London to Tokyo’s Narita airport.
Haneda airport is closer to the city centre than Narita, and as it currently has fewer international flights immigration queues are reported to be shorter.
The daily flights to Haneda, starting on March 30, will leave London at 19.15, arriving in Tokyo at 15.00 the following day. The return flight will depart from Haneda at 11.20 and arrive in London at 15.50.
On March 30 JAL will suspend its seven weekly flights between London to Narita, after which it will sell seats on British Airways’ flights instead as part of the airlines’ codeshare arrangement.
