JetBlue flights grounded briefly after ‘system outage’
All JetBlue flights were grounded temporarily earlier today with the airline citing a ‘system outage.’
JetBlue requested the Federal Aviation Administration impose a ground stop.
However, the FAA lifted it with an hour.
“A brief system outage has been resolved and we have resumed operations,” the airline said.
JetBlue hasn’t disclosed any details about the outage.
The ground stop came in the early hours so the impact on JetBlue’s operations were limited.
It said two flights were canceled and about 155 were delayed according to Flightaware.com.
It’s still unclear if these were actually due to the ground stop.
New York-based JetBlue flies to 110 destinations across the US, the Americas and to Europe.
