Steve Kimber is to head up luxury operator Carrier.
He will take the helm in Cheadle from November, running both the tour operator and the retail agency Carrier Travel, based in Alderley Edge.
Kimber was formerly managing director of Amber Travel Partnership, owner of Great Railway Journeys, and before that was managing director at Cresta Holidays.
He said: “I am delighted to be at the helm of such a highly respected and award-winning luxury tour operator and look forward to taking this prestigious brand forward in the months and years ahead.
“I am fortunate to be inheriting a knowledgeable team of travel professionals, regarded as being some of the best in the luxury travel sector.”
