Kuoni CEO to stand down
The CEO of Kuoni is to step down following a dispute over aspects of the Swiss-based operator’s future direction.
Armin Meier is to leave at the end of the year.
A statement said: “The background of this decision is the divergent opinion on the leadership and execution of the group’s continuing transformation, instituted in May 2007.
“At no point has the overall strategy been subject of these divergences.”
None of the members of the executive board have agreed to stand for the CEO position, so an outside candidate will be sought.
In the meantime, chief financial officer Max Katz will take up the role of group executive board spokesman until further notice.
A new CEO will be appointed in the coming months, the company said.
