Latest American food offerings
American Airlines next month will begin selling food in the main cabin on selected domestic routes, the airline announced.
The new food service is the result of trial runs by the airline last year, where the feedback supported the idea.
First-class meals will remain complimentary.
The new service will be offered on more than 500 non-transcontinental routes and will cost $3.
Only cash will be accepted but the airline is considering credit and debit cards in the future.
