Letter from Florida
Friend and pr guru S. Michelle Payer, area director of public relations for a string of Ritz-Carlton Hotels in South Florida, writes:
“To celebrate 10 years as Miami’s only luxury Five Diamond resort, The Ritz-Carlton, Key Biscayne is pulling out all the stops for multi-day celebrations larger than I’ve ever seen.”
She cites one:
“To celebrate 10 years, we’re offering $10 Champagne, rums, spa treatments, luxurious guestrooms and more throughout July, in addition to unveiling a special double-barreled tequila made especially for Cantina Beach, and for someone who wants to go all out, a $60,000 escape package that comes with a rare blue diamond, the likes of which most jewelers have never seen.”
For $10, hotel guests can dine on Kobe beef burgers and Moet-Chandon Ice Imperials; or take in a three-course menu; or even a $10 guestroom (limited to ten). The later is restricted to certain dates.
The complex also has four ocean-view restaurants, an 11-court Cliff Drysdale Tennis Center (largest of any Ritz-Carlton tennis complex worldwide), an island inspired Ritz Kids program and a 21-treatment spa retreat.
Other giveaways include ten overnight guests staying in July will find a 14K white gold pendant necklace featuring a half carat of brilliant round-cut diamonds under their pillow.
There’s also a “Blue Diamond Escape Package” available for $60,310. It includes three-day use of the Presidential Suite and other luxurious amenities for two people.
Other perks include a helicopter tour of the area, unlimited spa treatments, upscale dinners, various private functions and even a diamond pendant necklace from Sabbia jewelers.
Oh, and those $10 rooms have stipulations.
“Rooms are available July 5-7, 10-13, 18, 25, 26, but you have to dial fast, as reservations may only be made June 10 from 10 am to 2 pm EST by phoning 305-365-4582. Only 10 total rooms available; two rooms maximum per reservation,” says Payer.
