Loganair makes key senior appointments
Loganair has made two key appointments to its management team as it prepares to operate flights in its own right.
For the last 24 years the Scottish airline has worked under franchise agreements with other operators, including British Airways from 1993 to 2007 and with Flybe since then.
The contract with Flybe comes to an end on August 31 and Loganair will go it alone from September 1.
In preparation, David Dishon joins as finance director and Kay Ryan becomes commercial director.
Dishon was previously finance and commercial director of Caledonian Sleeper, and prior to that, route finance controller in Scotland for Network Rail.
He takes up corporate board responsibility with Loganair, joining managing director Jonathan Hinkles, chairman David Harrison and Peter Simpson, chief executive of parent company AIL Group.
Ryan was previously commercial director of Eastern Airways, and prior to that held senior positions at Thomas Cook Group.
A statement said Loganair would continue to work with both BA and Flybe.
It said the Glasgow-based airline continues to ‘discuss opportunities’ to work with Flybe, while its long-standing codeshare arrangement with BA will continue.
