London Stansted welcomes first Algeria flights
London Stansted Airport marked the arrival of a new airline and the addition of a new country to its network.
Air Algérie launched its first direct flight to Algiers.
The Algerian flag carrier will operate four flights per week to Houari Boumediene Airport on Wednesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays on Boeing 737 aircraft.
Gareth Powell, London Stansted’s MD, said: “We’re delighted to welcome Air Algérie to London Stansted, marking an exciting milestone as we add a new airline and a new destination country to our growing network.”
Hamza Benhamouda, Air Algérie’s CEO, added: “We are excited to expand our presence in the UK.
“The addition of Stansted to our network offers passengers greater flexibility and accessibility, particularly for the Algerian community in the UK. We are proud to be the first airline to connect Stansted directly to Algeria.”
